LUDINGTON – The Oakridge Eagles and Ludington Orioles split a baseball doubleheader on Tuesday.

Ludington won the opener, 11-1, and Oakridge, highlighted by strong pitching by Michael Wambaugh, won the nightcap, 10-0.

In the first game, Ludington had seven hits and was aided by eight Oakridge errors. Brody Kaminski led Ludington with two hits. Aris Knoll had one hit, scored two runs and knocked in a pair of runs. Evan McCarthy and Gage Jones also crossed the plate twice for the Orioles.

Aiden Johnston had Oakridge’s lone hit in the opener. Vitek Benes scored the only run.

In the nightcap, it was all Wambaugh, who allowed no hits and struck out 10. He walked four. Landon Southern came on in relief and finished off the game for the Eagles.

Johnston had two hits, scored two runs and knocked in a run for the Eagles. Evan Miller and Chase Dutton each had a hit, scored a run and had an RBI.
