NORTH MUSKEGON – The North Muskegon girls soccer team clinched first place in the West Michigan Conference with a 4-1 win over Fremont on Wednesday.

The No. 1-ranked Norse dominated possession and outshot the Packers, 17-1.

Alex Johnson netted a pair of scores for the Norse. Emily Creed and Allyie Jensen each scored a goal.

Mia Clemence tallied the lone goal for Fremont.

Hallie Snyder made 13 saves in the net for the Packers.

North Muskegon (11-2, 9-0) will play in the Newaygo County Tournament on Saturday.

Fremont (10-2-1, 7-2) travels to Grand Rapids Covenant Christian on Friday.
