NORTON SHORES – Nathan Opfermann pitched a complete game shutout on Thursday and led the Mona Shores Sailors to a 10-0 victory over Grand Rapids Union.
 
The OK-Green baseball game was played at Mona Shores. It also marked the 200th career victory for Coach Brandon Bard.
 
Opfermann allowed two singles in five innings of work.
 
Key contributors for the Sailors were Zack Keessen with two hits, a walk and a run scored. Brady Recknagel had two hits, one a double, and two RBI. Jaden Thomas also had two hits, including a double, scored three runs and knocked in a pair of runs.
 
Brady Tilden had a double, single, two RBI and scored twice. Jayden Ammeraal had drove in three runs.
 
Mona Shores (15-5) travels to Union on Friday for a doubleheader.
