HOLTON – The Holton softball team took both games of a doubleheader against Whitehall on Thursday.

The Red Devils won 10-3 and 11-3.

“Defensively, we played error-free and hit the ball well all night,” Holton coach Kirk Younts said. “With a couple of weeks left in the regular season, I really like the way we are starting to play and hopefully we will be peaking just in time for the postseason.”

Abbie Fowler earned the opening win on the mound and struck out 12 batters.

Ryann Robins led at bat with a three-run homer and four RBI. Grace Thompsen had three hits—one a double, while Fowler added two hits. Emma Monette chipped in a double.

In game two, Kenzie Greene gave up just three hits.

Greene collected two hits, including a home run and a triple. Robins contributed a single and a double, and Fowler had two hits. Thompsen and Lexi Bartolameolli each had a single.

Holton is set to travel to Hesperia on Monday.

Whitehall will visit Fremont on Wednesday.
