GRAND RAPIDS – The Shelby baseball team traveled to Cornerstone University and won one game in a doubleheader against Potterville on Tuesday. The second game was called due to inclement weather that moved through the area.
The Tigers took the opener, 16-8.
Dayday Garcia and Trevor Weiss split duties on the mound.
Lalo Garcia had three hits and five RBI, while Dayday Garcia collected two hits. Neil Gowell and Eli Kelley each had three RBI.
Shelby will host White Cloud on Friday.
