MUSKEGON – The losing streak is over for the Muskegon Community College Jayhawk men after a 76-69 victory over Community Christian College on Tuesday night.
 
The Jayhawks did it with a solid defensive effort on their home court. MCC limited their opponent to a shooting percentage of less than 30 percent.
 
Turnover issues in the opening half led MCC to a 30-29 deficit at the half. The second half was a different story as the Jayhawks put up 47 points.
 
Sophomore guard Will Chye led MCC with 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Sophomore Darius Williams added 15 points and five rebounds. Forward Joe Russau had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
 
MCC (7-7) hosts Alpena Community College at 3 p.m. Saturday in the first conference matchup of the season.
