PENTWATER – Showing no ill effects from a two-week break for the holidays, the Pentwater boys basketball team came out on fire Friday night and crushed visiting Big Rapids Crossroads, 85-15.
 
The West Michigan D League game was played in the friendly confines of the Falcons’ gym, and was Pentwater’s second straight win after a loss to Marion.
 
Leading the Falcons in scoring were Trey Johnson and Michael Carlson with 15 points apiece, while Jonny Arnouts added 12, Nathan Macher 10 and Wyatt Robers nine.
 
Pentwater improved to 8-1 overall, 4-1 in the WMD and will travel to White Cloud for a non-conference game next Friday.
