The Spring Lake boys swim team finished third with a score of 255 in the Division 3 Invitational on Saturday.
Holland Christian secured the top spot with 460 points and East Grand Rapids finished runner-up with 390.
“This was great to assess how we are at the halfway point of the season and finally getting people healthy again,” said Spring Lake coach Mick Homan. “The scoreboard or final scores do not show the positive energy and wonderful team spirit we had today on the deck.”
Alex Strauss, Ryan Fisher, Graham Porter and Noah Fletcher won the 400 free relay (3:17.76). Fletcher took first place in the 50 free (21.74) and second place in the 100 free (48.08). Fisher finished third in the 100 back (55.86).
“The team came to the meet with many goals, great attitudes, and a great team spirit,” said Homan. “The coaching staff was extremely happy with our team’s performance today and are excited about the second half of the season.”
Spring Lake hosts Ludington on Thursday.
