The Spring Lake boys’ basketball team gutted out a 50-46 win over winless Zeeland West on Tuesday night.
The Lakers trailed 15-8 after the first quarter before going on a 14-5 second-quarter run to take a 22-20 lead at halftime.
Spring Lake extended its lead to 37-29 heading into the final quarter before hanging on for the victory.
The Lakers were paced by Reid Grimmer with 13 points, while Jaden Core added 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. Jacob Ayers chipped in 10 points. Maddux Kipling contributed with seven points and seven rebounds.
The Lakers are now 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the OK-Black.
