MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Lady Reds fell short in their 54-43 girls basketball loss to Caledonia on Tuesday.
A rough first quarter and a big fourth quarter by Caledonia was too much for Muskegon to overcome.
The Lady Reds fell behind 14-7 after the first quarter and trailed 26-20 at halftime. Muskegon was able to rally in the third quarter to tie the score 32-32 with five different players scoring. Caledonia was able to score 22 fourth-quarter points to stop Muskegon’s comeback.
Kamrin Ward led Muskegon with 16 points and six rebounds while Jaila Martin added nine points and pulled down six rebounds. Dynasti Bell led the Lady Reds on the boards with 12 rebounds.
Muskegon next travels to Mona Shores for an OK Green matchup on Friday.
