FREMONT – The Fremont boys track team finished on top of the Rich Tompkins Packer Relays on Friday.
The Packers won with a score of 157. Sparta finished runner-up with 110, Mason County Central was third with 100 and Shelby came in fourth place with 60.
“We were able to fit in a lot of athletes as we entered two relays per relay event,” said Fremont coach Cliff Somers. “Another meet of great attitudes and willingness to try things.”
The Packers’ Jacob Burns won the 100 dash and Carter Rottman took first place in the 100 hurdles. Tritan Corrigan, Trentyn Corley, Khai Noordyk and Burns were top finishers in the 4×100 relay, while the 4×800 relay team of Joey Mansfield, Chase Lowery, Carter Sherman and Cole Lowery came in first place.
Sherman, Lucas Bradley, Chase and Blake Taylor finished on top of the distance medley relay.
Fremont will be at Montague on Wednesday for a West Michigan Conference meet.
