Red Wings 5, Predators 4 (OT) – The Detroit Red Wings overcame a two-goal deficit midway through the third period to defeat the Nashville Predators in overtime on Saturday night.
The Red Wings were down 4-2 with under 11 minutes left when Dylan Larkin cut the deficit to 4-3. Justin Abdelkader tied the game with a goal with 2:23 left in regulation.
Gustav Nyquist clinched the victory with the game-winning goal at the 1:41 mark of overtime.
The Red Wings have now earned at least a point in the standings in each of the last 10 games.
Detroit goaltender Petr Mrazek picked up the overtime win, stopping 28 of 32 shots.
The Red Wings are now 15-8-4 on the season, good for 34 points and second place in the Atlantic Division.
Detroit will head to Washington to take on the Capitals on Tuesday.
