The Spring Lake baseball team came up short against Allendale on Tuesday, falling 10-8 in extra innings in O-K Blue Conference action.

Allendale led 2-0 through five innings, but both teams piled on the runs late. Spring Lake scored four in both the sixth and seventh innings to tie the game, but Allendale won it with two in the eighth.

Rylan Peets got the start for the Lakers and threw five solid innings, allowing just two runs on two hits. Brenden Rice had two hits and four RBIs for Spring Lake while Austin Schubert had two hits and drove in two.
