The Fremont football team dropped its second straight game to start the season in a 54-6 loss at Reed City on Friday.

The Packer defense held Reed City in check for one quarter, trailing just 8-0, but the Coyotes dominated the second stanza and led 32-0 at the half.

Fremont gave up a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter.

After a Reed City touchdown in the fourth to give the Coyotes a 54-0 lead, Fremont’s Adam Halasinski scored on a two-yard touchdown run as time expired.

Halasinski led the Fremont offense with 86 yards rushing on eight attempts. Tristan Marfia followed with 34 yards on the ground.

The Packers are now 0-2 on the season and will host Big Rapids next Friday.
