Five area girls golfers were honored as first-team all-staters this past season.
Four of those golfers were part of the Mona Shores Sailors, which won the Division 2 state title four straight seasons.
Hailey Hrynewich and Aya Johnson, a North Muskegon senior who plays on the co-op team at Muskegon Catholic, were named to the Super Team, which includes all classes.
Besides Hrynewich and Johnson, Mona Shores’ Morgan Smith, Britni Gielow and Kelsey McKinley were first-team selections. Hrynewich and Smith are four-time all-state selections.
The all-staters were chosen by the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association.
