Muskegon Heights Academy’s Aaron Sydnor poured in 28 points in the Tigers’ 76-70 win over Grand Rapids Union in boys basketball on Thursday. The Tigers had three players score 20 points or more.

Eddie Tornes scored 24 points and had five rebounds and Antonio Jones dropped in 20 points and had five assists in the win for Muskegon Heights Academy.

The Tigers jumped out to a 16-9 first-quarter lead but Grand Rapids Union responded with a 25-point second quarter and a 35-32 halftime lead. Muskegon Heights managed to grab the lead back in the third quarter and used a 25-point fourth quarter to close the door.

Sydnor added five rebounds and three steals and Jelontae Johnson had four steals and four rebounds for the Tigers.
