The Mason County Central girls basketball team used a 14-8 fourth quarter burst to overcome a four-point deficit and claim a 48-43  victory over Whitehall  Tuesday in West Michigan Conference play.

Kylie Mount scored for Mason County Central. Emily MacArthur led Whitehall with 31 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks. Emily Spicklemire added six steals for the Vikings (0-3. 0-2).

Montague 36, Hart 31 –  Montague fought off an 11-2 third quarter Hart run after holding the Pirates to three second quarter points. Chase Jancek scored 15 points and had six steals to lead Montague while Emma Flagstead had 10 points and 16 rebounds. Hart was led by Anna Hertzler with nine points and Madison Hegedus had eight points.

Oakridge 56, North Muskegon 28 – The Eagles (2-1, 2-0) jumped out to a 19-6 lead after the first quarter. Hannah Reinhold scored 21 points and had five rebounds for the Eagles. Olivia Duncan lead the Norsemen (1-2; 1-1) with 10 points.

Shelby 60, Ravenna 41 – The Tigers outrebounded the Bulldogs 47-19 and had an 11-4 edge in free throws. Rachel Herin paced Shelby with 15 points while Chloe Sillman added 10.
