Muskegon Lumberjacks captain Christian Wolanin played an important role Tuesday night at the 2015 United States Hockey League Top Prospects Game in Dubuque, Iowa.

Wolanin scored at the 18:03 mark of the first period to give Team East a 5-0 lead after the first period. 

Wolanin’s goal ended up being credited as the game winning goal as Team East defeated Team West 7-4 in front of 3,021 fans at the Mystique Ice Center.

Lumberjacks defenseman Joseph Cecconi picked up an assist on the game’s first goal, scored by Youngstown’s Kevin Conley.

Muskegon goalie Eric Schierhorn played the final 27 minutes of the game, stopping 18 of 22 Team West shots.
