Muskegon beat Zeeland East 3-1 in an OK Black Conference match on Thursday.
Muskegon needed just 53 seconds to get the board as Jason Sandoval scored on an assist from Carlos Hernandez-Sias.
Muskegon’s second goal came at 20-minute mark of the opening half from Hernandez-Sias on an assist from Jaylon McClanahan.
Muskegon’s third goal was scored by Angelo Hernandez-Sias with an assist from Demetrio Lopez.
“They came out strong in the second half, we had made some adjustments since we had the comfortable lead, I think we got a little too defensive and lost our edge.” said Muskegon coach Jeff Holmes.
Muskegon outshot Zeeland East 10-7.
Muskegon goalie Micah Crocker made six six saves.
Muskegon is 5-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
