Red Wings 6, Bruins 5 – The Red Wings defeated the Boston Bruins on Sunday afternoon in an offensive showdown.

LSJ Logo incertPavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg paced the Red Wings with two goals and one assist, while Darren Helm added two goals.

Datsyuk surpassed 900 career points in his National Hockey League career.

The Bruins were led in a losing effort by Brad Marchand with a goal and an assist.

Detroit’s goaltender Petr Mrazek picked up the victory, despite allowing five goals on 22 shots.

The Red Wings are now 29-18-9 on the season, good for 67 points and second place in the Atlantic Division. They are four points ahead of Pittsburgh for the final playoff spot.

Detroit will travel to Brooklyn to take on the New York Islanders on Monday afternoon.
