A walk-off bases loaded walk from Ryan Gillings in extra innings propelled the Muskegon Catholic baseball team over Mona Shores 6-5 on Tuesday in a non-league game.

The Crusaders led 5-3 through three innings before Mona Shores tied the game 5-5 with two runs in the sixth frame.

Max Price pitched 4 2/3 innings in relief to pick up the win for MCC.

Gillings led the Crusaders offensively with two doubles and 2 RBIs while Josh Holden added a double, single and two stolen bases.

The Sailors were led by Heath Cory with two hits while Connor Vallie threw for five innings for Mona Shores.

The Crusaders are now 2-0 on the season while Mona Shores dropped to 1-1 overall.

MONTAGUE 3-2, FOREST HILLS EASTERN 2-1- The Wildcats overcame a 2-0 deficit in the opener, scoring two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth frame.

Asher Erickson was the winning pitcher for Montague in Game 1, going three innings while allowing just one run with two strikeouts. Sebastian Archer chipped in two hits and a run scored.

In Game 2, an RBI single from Trey Mikkelsen in the sixth inning led to a win for the Wildcats.

Nick Stever was the winning pitcher in Game 2, going six innings while allowing one run on five hits and striking out six batters.
