Hannah Reinhold played a big part in keeping Oakridge’s varsity girls basketball team undefeated in the West Michigan Conference.

The junior guard poured in a career-high 34 points, helping the Eagles defeat rival Shelby, 72-58 and improve to 12-0 in league action. Oakridge is 14-2 overall.lsj-fb-logo

The Tigers were led by Jenny Beckman’s 20 points. Shelby falls to 11-6 overall and 9-3 in league play.

NORTH MUSKEGON 43, WHITEHALL 24 – North Muskegon’s defense allowed just seven first half points. The Norse (2-14, 2-9) were led by Olivia Duncan with 19 points, while Mya Duncan added 15 points. Melissa Shoup paced the Vikings (3-11, 2-8) with eight points on the night.

HART 64, RAVENNA 21 — The Pirates (10-6, 6-6) controlled the game throughout to beat the Bulldogs (2-11, 0-9). Baylee Draper was a force for Hart, totaling 18 points and 19 rebounds. Yasmine Colon and Maddie Hegedus scored 14 and 10 points, respectively, for the Pirates. Jessica McWatters had eight points for the Bulldogs and Megan Crowley scored seven.

MONTAGUE 46, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 40 — Montague pounced out to a 13-point halftime lead and held on for the win over the Spartans. The Wildcats improved to 9-5 overall and 6-5 in league action while Mason County Central fell to 9-6 and 8-4. Claudia Rumsey scored 15 to lead the Wildcats, while Emma Flagstead chipped in 12. The Spartans were led by Madison Bladzik with 10 points.
