The Mona Shores softball team split its doubleheader on Tuesday night with Kenowa Hills.LSJ Logo incert

The Sailors lost the opener 9-8 but responded with wild 21-16 victory in Game 2.

Veronica Kastelic paced the Sailor offense in Game 1 with three hits and two RBIs while Grace Hall and Mackenzie Quinn each had two hits.

In Game 2, Mackenzie Lund led the Sailors with four hits and four runs scored while Hall, Taylor Dew and Mackenzie Willeke all added three hits of their own.

Mona Shores is now 6-5 overall and 1-3 in OK Black Conference play.
