The Reeths-Puffer wrestling team captured its third straight Division 2 district championship, and fourth in the past five years, with a pair of victories on Wednesday.

The Rockets defeated Fremont 40-29 in the district semifinal match, then went on to beat host Orchard View 61-9 in the title match.

Orchard View nipped Muskegon 43-42 in the other semifinal.

Winning two matches on the night for the Rockets were Noah McKinnon (112), Caleb Jensen (119), Jack Tevrucht (125), Blake Ross (160), Dawson Romanosky (189), Jake Slater (215) and Tylor Skinner (heavyweight).

Hunter McCall and Brent Thomas each wrestled and won a match at 171 for R-P.

Reeths-Puffer, now 29-3 on the season, advances to next Wednesday’s Division 2 regional tournament at Sparta High School.
