Former Muskegon Lumberjacks’ head coach Kevin Patrick has joined the coaching staff at the University of Vermont as an assistant coach.

Patrick coached 1½ seasons with the Lumberjacks before being relieved of his duties near the middle of last season. He led the Lumberjacks to the playoffs in his first season with the USHL club.

Patrick was an assistant under current Vermont coach Kevin Sneddon for four seasons at Union College.

“I could not be more excited to join a program with such a rich history in men’s hockey,” said Patrick in a University of Vermont release. “I look forward to working with Kevin once again, and will be coaching alongside a true professional in assistant coach Kyle Wallack. It’s an honor to coach in one of the most passionate and competitive leagues in college hockey and we will strive to continue the strong tradition here at Vermont.”
