The Michigan State Spartans drubbed Windsor 6-1 in a preseason hockey matchup on Monday night.

The Spartans received goals from two former Muskegon Lumberjacks, Matt Berry and freshman Travis Walsh.

MSU heads into the season with 12 new players, including Walsh and Matt DeBlouw, who also played in Monday’s game. Five of the newcomers are on defense.

The Spartans open the regular season with a two-game road trip to Minnesota on Friday and Saturday nights.
