Pentwater hangs on, defeats Fruitport Calvary Christian in boys basketball opener

The Pentwater Falcons built a 13-point lead after one quarter then hung on the rest of the night for a 50-48 victory over the host Fruitport Calvary Christian Eagles.

Pentwater built a 19-6 lead after eight minutes of play.

Erik Wallstrom and Drew Sherston scored 11 points each for Pentwater.

Junior Mike Warren led the Eagles with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Mark Carlson also hit double figures with 17 points and eight rebounds.
