Taylor Cammarata scored a goal late in regulation to tie the game then scored the only goal in the shootout and led Waterloo to a 6-5 victory over the visiting Muskegon Lumberjacks on Saturday night.

Waterloo had taken a 2-0 lead in the contest before Muskegon battled back for three straight goals from Ben Foster, Cameron Darcy and Matt Mendelson.

The teams went back and forth with goals until Cammarata tied the game with 1:07 remaining.

Muskegon’s other goals were scored by Fredrick Tiffels, who notched his first USHL goal, and Foster.

Lumberjack goaltender Kevin Lindskoug stopped 43-of-49 shots he faced.

Muskegon’s record is now 19-13-4 for 42 points in the Eastern Conference standings.
