Fremont overcame a slow start to earn a 58-57 win over visiting Grant in a Lakes 8 Conference game on Friday night.
Mike Siegel hit a pull-up jump shot with 15 seconds remaining to give Fremont a one-point lead. The Packer defense made one land stand to preserve the victory.
The Packers trailed 14-10 after one quarter, but rallied for a 25-24 halftime lead.
Mike Siegel led the Packers with 30 points and five steals. He scored 12 points in the final quarter.
Blake Siersema added 13 points and 12 rebounds and Dylan Krim had nine points, five assists and five rebounds.
Nick Brown led Grant with 17 points and Tyler Manlick scored 15.
