MCC Jayhawk baseball team drops a pair of extra-inning games

The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks had a tough day on Tuesday by losing two games in extra innings.

In the opener, MCC lost 3-2 to Johnson & Williams University in an eight-inning game. In the nightcap the Jayhawks lost 13-6 to Mercyhurst in 11 innings.

In the first game, Chris Williams had two hits for the Jayhawks.

In the nightcap, the game was tied at 3-all until Mercyhurst scored 10 runs in the 11th inning. Williams had three hits to lead the Jayhawks. Jason Ribecky belted a home run in the seventh innign for MCC.

MCC is now 2-3 with a doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday against Southeastern Community College.
