Muskegon Community College battled back in the second half, but fell short 70-68 to Lansing Community College on Monday night.

Jalin Gross came off the bench and led the Jayhawks with 18 points. TJ Grant finished with 16 points, five assists and Delvon Brown had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Poor free-throw shooting cost the Jayhawks as they made just 15-of-26 attempts.

The Jayhawks return to action on Wednesday when Lake Michigan College comes into Bartels-Rode Gymnasium.  The Jayhawks are now 12-10, 2-7 in the Western Conference.
