MONTAGUE — Isaiah Atchison had a triple double with 14 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocked shots Monday night in Montague’s hard-earned 61-54 win over Manistee. 

The West Michigan Conference Lakes Division contest was played in Montague. 

For the Wildcats, it was their third straight win. 

Montague got off to a good start, outscoring Manistee 14-8 in the first quarter and then the Wildcats fought off the Mariners 14-11 in the second and went into the half with a 28-19 lead. 

The Wildcats outscored the Mariners 19-14 in the third period and held a 47-33 lead. Manistee made it interesting with a 21-14 fourth. 

Owen Raeth actually led the Wildcats in scoring with 20 points and added six rebounds and four assists. Paul Owen had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. 

Kaden Kott scored 17 points and had four steals for the Mariners. Jacob Scharp contributed 14 points and three steals. Landin Sowa added eight points. Mason Gunnett had seven rebounds and three assists. 

Montague improved to 8-5 overall and 3-4 in the conference. The Wildcats host Hart in a non-conference game Monday. 

The Mariners dropped down to 6-6 overall and 1-5 in the conference. Manistee travels to Hart next Thursday.
