Muksegon took over first place in the OK Black Conference with a 58-54 win over Mona Shores on Tuesday night.

The Big Reds led 12-8 after one quarter and 29-19 at halftime.

Mona Shores outscored the Big Reds 35-29 in the second half.

Mardrieka Cook led Muskegon with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Jade Paige scored 18 points for Muskegon, Shawnteanna Dame and Janiece Levelston had five assists each.

Morgan Smith led Mona Shores with 16 points, Jasmyn Walker added 15 points and 12 rebounds and Amy Gillings scored 10.

The Big Reds have clinched at least a share of the OK Black title and can win it outright on Friday with a victory over the Reeths-Puffer Rockets.
