Reeths-Puffer boys fall to Holland in OK Black basketball action

Andrew Reinecke scored 18 points and Marquese Livers added 12 as the Reeths-Puffer Rockets dropped a 68-60 decision to Holland.

Dante Hawkins and Aidan McAullife combined for 44 points for Holland. Hawkins scored 23 and McAullife added 21.

“We fought all the way back and tied it with 3 minutes left in game,” Reeths-Puffer coach Dave Ingles said. “We held Holland to one field goal in the fourth quarter, but they got to the line 14 times.

“When you hold a team to one field goal in the last quarter, in a close game, you expect to win, Ingles said. “However, when the game is called in a way that allows them to get to the line 14 times and we can’t even get in the bonus, it makes it tough.”
