Reeths-Puffer battled back from a halftime deficit and overcame Holland 51-48 on Thursday night.

The Rockets tied the game with less than 4 minutes to play on a monster slam dunk by Marquese Livers. Other key baskets in that stretch were a 3-pointer from Andrew Reinecke and a post move and bucket by Quinzell Pannell.

That gave R-P a 48-46 lead with 2 minutes remaining.

“Best all around game this year for Marquese,” Rocket coach Dave Ingles said.  “Nice to have that happen on Senior Night when all the parents are there.”

Reeths-Puffer struggled all night long at the line and made just 8-of-17 and 5-of-10 in the fourth quarter.

“But our defense stepped up when it needed to,” Ingles said. “We were more active in the second half and we got a lot more active offensively.”

The Rockets trailed 25-20 at the half, but rallied by outscoring the Dutch 31-23 after halftime.

Livers led R-P with 13 points, six rebounds, three steals and five assists and Pannell added 11 points and nine rebounds. Reinecke scored all six of his points in the final quarter.
