SHELBY ROLLS PAST NORTH MUSKEGON IN BOYS BASKETBALL

Shelby opened and closed strong and rolled past North Muskegon 71-41 in West Michigan Conference action Friday.

The host Tigers jumped out to a 19-9 lead after the first quarter and, after building a 49-35 lead through three, ended the game with a 22-6 fourth quarter.

Jason Beckman led Shelby with 17 points and six assists, Devin Mussell and Shane Kajtazi scored 13 points each and Andrew Beckman finished with 10 points.

North Muskegon’s Sam Powell had 11 points.
