Reeths-Puffer’s memorable hockey season came to end on Wednesday night in the Division 1 quarterfinals as they lost to East Kentwood 6-5 in overtime at Ferris State University.

East Kentwood’s Tyler Layle scored an unassisted goal 47 seconds into overtime.

The Falcons led 5-3 after two periods, but goals by R-P’s Jeremy Joyce and Alex Lewandoski in the third period sent the game in overtime.

Joyce recorded a hat trick for R-P, while Dean Griffin also scored for R-P.

Josh Smith and Kyle Kendra recorded two assists each for the Rockets.
