The Muskegon area will have seven wrestlers vying for state championships at the MHSAA Individual State Finals on Saturday at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Whitehall leads the way with four individuals wrestling for state championships, while Hesperia has two in the finals and Hart has one.

Championship matches begin at 4:45 p.m.

Wrestling for state championships in Division 3 for the Vikings will be Reiley Brown (103), Zach Cooper (125) and twin brothers Steven Sika (160) and Joe Sika (171).

In Division 4, Hesperia’s Zack Yates (119) and Chase Siersema (135) will wrestle for state titles along with Hart’s Spencer Reterstoff (152).

Area wrestlers that are guaranteed all-state honors by placing in the top-eight of their respective weight classes heading into tomorrow’s consolation rounds are Grand Haven’s Camden Bertucci (112) and Dakota Juarez (160) in Division 1.

Reeths-Puffer’s Tyler Stenberg (140), Fremont’s Luke Spotts (125) and Billy Belcher (285) of Spring Lake all have earned all-state honors heading into the Division 2 consolation rounds.

In Division 3, Whitehall’s Logan Irey (112) and Logan Morningstar (285), Newaygo’s Trenton Roesly (130) and Shelby’s Austin Felt (112) will all earn all-state honors as well.

Division 4 wrestlers that are assured all-state honors are Hesperia’s David Jacobs (130), Davian Gowens (103), Cash Bolles (145) and Mark Workman (140), Lee Siersema (160) and Eldon Graham (189).

Hart’s Klayton Ruggles (135), Jonathan Zarzoza (189) and J.R. Hinojosa (215) will earn all-state honors along with Kent City’s Shane Rodenburg (171) and Konner Wolter (215).and Holton’s Hayden Cregg (135) and Montague’s Sawyer Smith (152).

Consolation round matches begin at 8:30 a.m.
