Muskegon’s Justin Abdelkader scored a goal just 48 seconds into the first period of the Detroit Red Wings’ 5-4 overtime victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night.

The victory evens the series at one game each with the series now shifting to Detroit for Game 3 on Saturday night.

Gustav Nyquist scored the game-winning goal 1:21 into overtime to give the Wings the victory. Detroit had 3-0 and 4-1 leads before the Ducks fought back in the final 12 minutes of third period to tie the game and sent it into overtime.

Abdelkader finished with six shots on goal and had 20 minutes of ice time.
