No. 4-ranked MCC volleyball takes second place at Kankakee Invite

No. 4 ranked Muskegon Community College took second place at the Kankakee Community College Invitational by finishing 3-1 on Friday and Saturday.

Making the All-Tournament Team for MCC were Amber Carmean and Brandi Jones.

The Jayhawks dropped their opening contest on Friday to Parkland in three games, 25-13, 30-28 and 25-19. But MCC rebounded after the loss and won its next three matches.

Sauk Valley fell to MCC in three games on Friday, 25-14, 25-19 and 25-23. MCC then followed up on Saturday to beat host Kankakee 25-9, 25-20 and 25-14. In the Jayhawks’ final match, they beat Rock Valey 22-25, 25-16, 25-15, 21-25 and 15-4.
