The Western Michigan Christian Warriors opened their River Valley schedule with an 8-0 boys soccer victory over Tri-unity Christian.
The visiting Warriors received two goals from Ben Mast and one each from Kyle Kingma, Eric Bourdo, Cody Thiele, Sam Bekins, Alex Rop and Dylan Mines. Eli Vandervelde, Will Deur and Rop each added an assist.
WMC (2-3) outshot the Defenders 24-1.
The game ended with 18:14 remaining in the second half due to the mercy rule.
