The Grand Haven Buccaneers outlasted Grandville 3-1 Tuesday in Division 1 district soccer action to earn a semifinal berth Thursday against rival Mona Shores.
Mona Shores got the best of the Bucs in their only matchup earlier this season.
Jon Buitenhuis gave Grand Haven a 1-0 lead just before halftime with an assist from Nick Scarpino.
Grandville tied the score 1-1 early in the second half but Grand Haven’s Isaac Braak took a pass from Cameron Jerovsek and gave his team a 2-1 edge.
John Strainer scored the final goal for the Bucs. Goalie Garrison Mast posted the win.
