FRUITPORT – Kenowa Hills logged two first-half goals, and added four more in the second half to turn back the Big Reds 6-3 at Thursday’s Div. 2 district semifinal match.

Muskegon’s Daniel Sischo scored twice, and teammate Adrian Briseno added a third, but the three second-half goals weren’t enough.

Kenowa Hills picked up two goals and an assist from Bruno Bouwman, and another two goal effort from Corey Gilmer. Teammates Peter Brown and Pat Kozak added single goals in the win.

Big Red goalkeeper Jake VanHoesen turned back six shots in the loss.

Kenowa Hills moves on to Saturday’s district final to face Spring Lake, which defeated host Fruitport in a 2-1 shootout victory.
