Montague nets a pair of second half goals in district soccer win over Mason County Eastern

Montague used a strong second half to capture a 3-1 Division 4 district soccer win Tuesday over Mason County Eastern.

The game was tied 1-1 at halftime before the Wildcats pulled away in the final 40 minutes.

Luke VanBoxel paced the Wildcats with a goal and an assist. Eric Groppi and Logan Waruszewski each added goals for the winners.

Coty Tufts got the win in goal for Montague with seven saves. The Wildcats will play Hart Thursday in the district semifinals.
