Giddings, Depender, Stone and Hendrickson selected as first team high school softball All-Staters

Four Muskegon area high school softball players were recently named first-team All State selections by the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association.

In Division 3, Oakridge shortstop Morgan Giddings and her teammate, pitcher Nicole Depender, were first-team selections.

In Division 4, Holton first baseman Jacki Stone and North Muskegon pitcher Katie Hendrickson were named to the first-team All-State squad.

Local honorable mention selections included Ravenna second baseman Lilly Lieffers, Oakridge third baseman Alessa Buchner and Oakridge utility player Alyssa Fessenden in Division 3.

On the Division 4 honorable mention list were Holton pitcher Rachel Younts and Holton catcher Ashley Friend.
