The Mason County Central boys basketball team scored 50 points the second half to claim a 75-47 win over Montague Thursday in West Michigan Conference hoops action.
The game was tied 25-25 at halftime before the Spartans took control.
Mitch Lange led the winners with 17 points and three assists. Johnny Shafer added 14 points and seven rebounds while Sean Kelley had 12 points and five rebounds.
Dontay Smith and Jacob Buchberger paced Montague with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Mason County Central is now 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the league. Montague fell to 6-2 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
Ravenna 62 Hart 42 – Ravenna led 21-19 at halftime, then used a full court press to cause turnovers and create scoring chances in the second half. Connor Beahan led Ravenna with 27 points while Nick Castenholz added 11. Ravenna improved its record to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Hart fell to 0-6 and 0-4.
