The Shelby Tigers boys’ basketball team jumped out to an early 15-4 lead after the first quarter and never looked back and defeated the Ravenna Bulldogs 56-29 on Tuesday night in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Tigers led 30-14 at halftime and 46-24 after three quarters.

Jeffrey Beckman led the Tigers with 14 points and eight rebounds, Caleb Anderson added 13 points.

The Bulldogs were led by Jake Metten with six points.

Montague 47, Hart 35 – The Wildcats pulled away in the second half after leading by just two points at the half. Jacob Buchberger led Montague with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Dontay Smith added 14 points and Josh Weesies had 10 rebounds.

Whitehall 58, Mason County Central 51 – The Vikings were able to use a 15-8 scoring advantage to pull away from the Spartans. Whitehall was led by Noah Trombley with 18 points and C.J. Watson with 11 points. The Spartans were led by Coltyn Tyndall with 20 points and Sean Kelley with 10 points.
