J.D Martinez hit his team leading 30th home run of the season and knocked in both Detroit runs.

Detroit starting pitcher Daniel Norris demonstrated he isEye on the D not quite David Price caliber yet, allowing five runs on nine hits in 3 1/3 innings.

The Tigers will look to even the series on Saturday night.
