Red Wings 4, Senators 3 (OT)-Tomas Tatar’s game-winning overtime goal with 2:56 remaining paced the Red Wings over the Ottawa Senators on Monday night.

LSJ Logo incertThe Senators forced overtime by scoring two third period goals, one from rookie defensemen Chris Wideman 3:13 into the period, and the other from forward Bobby Ryan with less than three minutes left.

Dylan Larkin, Gustav Nyquist and Riley Sheahan each scored a goal for the Red Wings during regulation.

The Red Wings are now 9-8-1 on the season, good for 19 points and a third place tie in the Atlantic Division.

Detroit will host the Washington Capitals on Wednesday.
