The Ravenna volleyball team won its second straight Class C district title on Thursday night with a 3-2 victory over LSJ Logo incertKent City on its home court.

The Bulldogs will face West Michigan Conference opponent Montague on Tuesday night in the Class C regional semifinals at Kent City High School.

“They (Kent City) played much better as the match went along,” said Ravenna Coach Kim Platt. “I am proud of the girls for overcoming this nail bitter.

“We are excited about the opportunity to play Montague again this season.”

Amber Jacobs led the Bulldogs with 26 kills, three aces and four blocks. Ravenna senior Sydney Hanson added 22 kills and 42 digs, while Megan Crowley chipped in 47 assists and three blocks.
